The Province Diputasion de Jaén is giving a grant of 100,000 euros to the Red Cross to help people affected by DANA, which has particularly affected the province of Valencia, as well as other areas in Castilla-La Mancha and Andalusia.
The provincial government implemented this emergency procedure with “hemos querido aportar nuestro grano de arena a la enorme work que está llevando Cruz Roja para atender a las personas que, debboda esta gran natural catástrofe, lo han perdido practically all, one work”. This includes the rescue of people, the provision of basic services and the restoration of housing”, emphasizes Paco Reyes, president of the Diputación de Jaén.
Reyes emphasizes that this economic cooperation of the provincial administration is carried out through the Red Cross, because “we did it before emergencies like the war in Ukraine or the earthquake that affected Turkey and Syria”, because it “has extensive experience in such situations and from the first minute it is an institution that works in different areas where DANA has suffered terrible consequences, especially in the province of Valencia”.
Likewise, the president of the provincial administration took the opportunity to convey the support and solidarity of the Diputacion to the people affected by this disaster.
