CSIF will not sign the contract extension agreement proposed by Renault

CSIF decided today in two assemblies held with Renault affiliates not to sign the agreement on the extension of the contract, which expires on December 31, proposed by the company's management.

Un 77% rejected this possibility, considering that the salary increase offered by the company to the employees was “very insufficient”.

In a communique, the CSIF explained that the position in favor of the extension agreement requires a “democratic” approach to its ratification “in order to make an important decision” by Renault's affiliates and employees.

The union insisted on improving the working conditions of the workers and on the company's “determination to negotiate” a new contract. “Solo la congelación salarial de los años 2020 y 2021 suposo una pérdida del poder acquisitivo de casi un 13%, que ha continuedo aumentante”, apostilló.

Likewise, he imposed a number of conditions on the company, such as the commitment to conclude a new contract in 2025, a guarantee to maintain employment and factories in Spain, or a basic wage increase proposed by the company's management until 2025.

He asked for a new bolsa de horas de trabajo system, which would match the salary and family reconciliation of each worker, both in the work group and in the technician.

Finally, the CSIF recalled that its entry into Renault in the last union elections “is an alternative and a hope for the unions that signed a convention that the workers are not satisfied with”.
