El Campus Científico-Tecnológico de Linares hosts the celebration of the XXIV Week of Science, organized by the Unidad de Cultura Científica y de la Innovación (UCC+I) Unidad de Cultura Científica y de la Innovación (UCC+I) University's Vice-Chancellor for Communication and Territorial Development, starting this Monday. Jaen, whose activities began with the celebration of four “Cafes with Science” attended by more than 40 students from IES Reyes de España de Linares, was able to share breakfast with researchers and researchers. Julio Ángel Olivares declared that “it is a week to appreciate the great potential of the research developed at the University of Jaen and to share it with the citizens, with the educational centers of the province, in this case concretely. , de Linares”. Later, a seminar entitled “The importance of knowledge of geotechnical properties and materials as a basis for civil works and construction works” was developed. Other outreach activities will be held throughout the rest of the week in various classrooms and labs across campus.
The XXIV Semana de la Ciencia is celebrated until Friday, November 15, in the campuses of Jaén and Linares, with an extensive program of a total of 65 activities, thanks to the participation of 220 researchers, with the aim of bringing research closer together. Desarrollan en la UJA a la sociedad, especially the public association of the province of la, ya que mainly implements the Secundaria, Bachillerato y Formación Professional programs. Café con Ciencia is an initiative organized by Fundación Descubre in collaboration with the main research and dissemination institutions of Andalusia. It is part of the Science Week events and is funded by the University, Research and Innovation Council and the Spanish Science and Technology Foundation (FECYT).
