El IES Oretania de Linares promotes entrepreneurship and self-employment in professional formation students – Linares28 – El diario digital de Linares

Francisco José Solano, representative for Educational Development, Professional Development, University, Research and Innovation, emphasized “the bet carried out by educational centers to promote initiatives to form students with skills and abilities aimed at entrepreneurship”. This is detailed at the opening of the I Jornadas “Descubriendo Mis Habilidades Emprendedoras” organized by the Instituto de Educación Secundaria Oretania de Linares. During the event, he was accompanied by Linares City Council Education Board Rosario Jodar and education center director Jose Francisco Fernandez.

An event that brings together more than 240 secondary education and 4º students from different educational centers of the city of Linares. This activity was developed as a project to develop entrepreneurial spirit and self-employment in Vocational Training students convened by the Council for Educational Development and Vocational Training. Among its other goals is to increase the innovative and creative ability of students as a factor of learning and entrepreneurship, as well as to constantly bring the business world to educational centers through direct contact with entrepreneurial experiences. In this sense, Solano emphasized “this initiative as a referent of good practices to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and bring students closer to reality.”

Durante la jornada, se ha llevado un workshop “Self-conocimiento”, business and professional trainer in freight transport, Antonio Quirós y un colloquio – mesa redonda, a cargo del humorista Jiennense, Guelmi; Artists known as Belin and Flaxtl, as well as content creators and Spanish broadcasters Anikilo and MyYes. The centers invited were the Institutos de Educación Secundaria Himilce, Cástulo, Reyes de España, Santa Engracia and el colegio San Agustín de Linares.

At the same time, the regional representative emphasized that “the promotion of entrepreneurship within the Professional Training is one of the priority areas of work with the aim of developing skills, abilities and knowledge to promote new, innovative and creative business initiatives in educational centers”. . For this, Solano emphasized the “establishment and maintenance of the Teaching and Learning Program for 2024/2025”. In the case of IES Oretania, a new project called “Himilce Emprende” was given. There are currently 23 aulas de emprendiiento in the province of Jaén.
