A fashion designer accuses Sean “Diddy” Combs of groping her and dangling her over the balcony of a Los Angeles high rise in 2016.
Fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan has filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs with allegations that he groped her and dangled her over the balcony of the apartment of his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in September 2016. Bongolan's 17-page lawsuit also asserts she observed signs of Combs' abuse of Ventura, and is seeking $10 million in damages.
Filed on November 27 in Los Angeles Superior Court, the complaint outlines Bongolan's account of staying at Ventura's apartment in September 2016, having met and befriended the singer when they worked together in 2014. While Bongolan and her then-girlfriend stayed over, Combs allegedly entered the apartment uninvited early in the morning, and approached her on the balcony.
“He grabbed her, turned her back to his chest, and molested her by groping her breasts as she yelled to be left alone,” the lawsuit reads. When Bongolan began to struggle, Combs allegedly moved his hands to her armpits and placed her on the banister of the 17-story balcony while yelling, “Do you know what the f—k you did?!”
The 4-foot-11-inches tall Bongolan, who weighed around 100lbs at the time, “attempted to resist him, throwing her weight back in a struggle not to be thrown to the ground and what would likely be her death.” But Combs “easily overpowered her again.”
Ventura then emerged, allegedly screaming at Combs to stop, and informing him that Bongolan's girlfriend was also in the apartment. Combs then pulled Bongolan back over the balcony, but did not release her, and instead “slammed Ms. Bongolan onto the balcony's patio furniture, including a table.” According to Bongolan, she did not and still does not know what Combs believed she had done.
Bongolan also claims she observed “disturbing signs of an abusive relationship” and witnessed incidents of abuse between Ventura and Combs before the balcony incident. These include an instance in which Combs allegedly threw a “large kitchen knife” at Ventura, “who, acting in self-defense, threw one back at him.”
The lawsuit also outlines several instances in which Combs terrorized Bongolan during their professional relationship, including a trip in which he “became aggressive” and “forcefully fed” her a drug she believed to be ecstasy before making her take part in a photo shoot. During the photo shoot, she says he threatened her, saying, “I'm the motherf—king devil. You have no idea what I could do to you. I could kill you.”
Bongolan is seeking $10 million in damagesto which she says she is entitled due to having “suffered, and [continuing] to suffer, injuries and damages including physical injury, and mental and emotional distress.”
Combs, who was indicted back in September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, is currently jailed at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center, where he is awaiting trial. He was denied bail for a third time last month.
