SoundCloud launches a new upload experience to change the game for creators with what it calls 'the best damn upload experience on the internet.'
SoundCloud has always been about the artistsand now it's taking that cornerstone to the next level with “the best damn upload experience on the internet. Period.” The new upload experience is seamless, designed to help an artist's music reach their audience quickly, and to start earning faster.
“SoundCloud's new artist upload experience redefines what it means to release music on our platform, so artists can focus on what matters most — their music,” says SoundCloud.
Here's what the new SoundCloud upload experience offers:
Get Paid: Next Pro artists can seamlessly opt into “Monetization” during the upload process to earn money from their tracks. To do so, just click “Monetize” during the upload process. There's no need to navigate any complex settings; SoundCloud does the hard part for you.
Reach the Right Audience: Next Pro artists can tap into SoundCloud's recommendation algorithm with one click, gaining access to fan-driven playlists which help an artist's music reach a broader audience, connect with new fans, and industry professionals.
Effortless Upload Experience: SoundCloud's updated user interface lets you drag-and-drop tracks with ease, making the upload process intuitive and stress-free.
Seamlessly Distribute Everywhere: Immediately after uploading, Next Pro artists can distribute their tracks to over 60 top platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, allowing your music to be everywhere, all at once.
Keep Fans in the Loop: SoundCloud handles fan notifications for you, so your followers will be notified as soon as you upload a new track.
Reward Your Most Loyal Fans: With new ways to reward and monetize die-hard supporters with exclusive merch drops, now artists can make merch with no hassle or upfront costs, and connect directly with their fans through the SoundCloud Store. The platform's artist merch program is currently in beta and is available to a select group of Next Pro artists who apply for access.
