Iran is preparing a “decisive and painful” attack on Israel from Iraq in the next few days, possibly before the November 5 US presidential election, Axios and Reuters reported, citing multiple sources.
For this response to Israel's attack last weekend, Tehran turned to pro-Iranian militants in Iraq. With this plan, the regime of the Ayatollahs would try to avoid an attack directly from its territory in order to avoid Tel Aviv's next response against strategic targets in Iran.
Israeli intelligence believes that this attack from the territory of Iraq will be carried out using a large number of drones and ballistic missiles.
El comandante de la Guardia Revolucionaria iraní, división general Hossein Salami, warned this week that Israel had made a mistake in attacking Iran, stressing that Tehran's response would be “different from any scenario” Israel could expect.
