Diputación and Fundación Unicaja will communicate the importance of the olive tree to more than 1,600 students this week – Linares28 – El diario digital de Linares

Javier Perales, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, participated this morning in the presentation of a series of workshops for the knowledge of the olive tree and olive oil organized by the Diputación de Jaén together with Fundación Unicaja for the purpose of celebration. Tomorrow is World Olive Day. The “San Juan de la Cruz” CEIP, where this event is held, is one of the 49 educational centers in the province where 60 workshops will be held, with the participation of more than 1,600 students.

The purpose of this activity, as explained by Perales, “is to make students understand the importance of olive trees and olive oil in our province, not only as an economic engine, but also as a clear formula for the stabilization of the population in our municipalities. “. In this line, the deputy reminded that “this tree, which is the most widespread in the world, represents many things.” Specifically, it “represents culture, economy, gastronomy in the province of Jaen” and is also “a symbol of peace, wisdom and harmony”.

Despite all this, Javier Perales believes that “it is clear that tomorrow is an important day to celebrate in the province and we want to share it with the Provincial Deputation and the educational centers where we will develop this initiative promoted by Fundación Unicaja”. It includes active activities for oliva and important personal experts of Jiennase province.
