Rector Nicolas Ruiz said this on behalf of the University of Jaén in an intervention before the minute of silence in which the UJA expressed its condolences and solidarity “with all the people who are going through this very bad time”. a real tragedy and drama for many families, the context of the national disaster that has had a strong impact in different regions of Spain, mainly in Valencia, and before that the Government decided yesterday to issue a three-day luto official decree. “.

After his intervention, the president of the UJA Student Council, Ester Aranda, read the joint manifesto of the Asociación de Universidades Públicas de Andalucía (AUPA) in solidarity with the Dana victims, which he also read in the hall. This symbolic act of up to three days of official mourning will take place at the doors of the academic centers, research centers and institutes and other business centers of each of the Andalusian State Universities.
