Antonio Luis Hervas, Health Councilor of the City Council of Linares, presented the tenth edition of the program “Por un Millón de Pasos”, promoted together with Colectivo Proyecto Arrayanes and Área de Gestión Sanitaria Norte de Jaén. An initiative where four hiking routes will be marked for the mining enclaves of Linares and other municipalities in the region.

The “Un Millón de Pasos” project invites us to walk together to fulfill the symbolic goal of one million steps, symbolizing a million ways to take care of our health and heritage. Above all, this project wants every step to be a push towards a more active life and a more connected city. Nos ayuda a recorder, además de cuidar de nosotros mismos, podemos hacer algo por nuestro entorno y nuestros culturale values”, ha senalado Hervás.

El edil thanked the cooperation of the Colectivo Proyecto Arrayanes for the implementation of the itineraries, where explanations will be given regarding the historical and ancestral aspects. The first will be held on November 30 to know the foundry of La Tortilla; The second, scheduled for February 22, 2025, will be discussed by the Los Salidos, Los Quinientos and Alamillos filas; The third one will be on March 22nd for Despeñaperros Natural Park and the last one will be on April 26th for mining in Dehesa Boyal de Guarroman.

José Dueñas, president of Colectivo Proyecto Arrayanes, attended the presentation of the 'Por un Millón de Pasos' program, held at the Mining Landscape Interpretation Center, along with the health board, who provided more information about the programming. At the end of the session, a report titled “Activos en salud” was presented to the public, led by Raúl Dueñas, a nurse from the Área Sanitaria Norte de Jaén.
